Patience Beard is know at he University of Arkansas as the cheerleader with the zebra leg. She was diagnosed as a child with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency (PFFD), and had her left foot and ankle amputated. their daughter’s left foot and ankle. So she She had a prosthetic left leg, which since she is a girl, she accessorizes like most girls would change the skins on their phones. Her current favorite is the zebra model because “it goes with everything.” But it looks like that soon she may be fitted with a new Razorback Red prosthetic.

Patience started gymnastics at age 4 and started cheering in 7th grade. She can do the full array of tumbling and cheerleading skills needed to be a Division I collegiate cheerleader.     Mindblowing. Inspiring story. The best wishes to Patience for her fight to the disabilty. Actually she may not like to say she disabled, because I think she is the only able girl ready to fight every war in the life. And she shows the way for others. Hats off Patience.
