This web site is an off-shoot of the cheer pages formerly on GymnasticsZone.com.

We have so much cheerleading content that we were forced to the conclusion that our cheerleading information needed and deserved its own space, staff and products.

This is just the beginning for this site with the information and products previously posted transferred to this site. Pages of new topics are planned and will be forthcoming over the next year.

Please contact us with suggestions, questions and comments.

I would like to know how to start a allstar cheer squad. I have been coaching a Rec team for three years an would like to take it to the next level. I was a college cheerleader myself and still have the love for it. I need to know how to get started.

Hiya! I posted before, but I don’t think it sent through. Anyways, I’m trying out for high school cheerleading in about 6 or 7 months. I can do all these on ground :
    ~Sort of a Toe Touch
My jumps are not that good, but i’m trying to work on it. I can do also do :
    ~Both side splits
    ~Sort of a middle split
~I’m working on a front walkover, I just can’t recover from it.
    ~I know the motions
    ~Sort of a roundoff
I’m 5″1 & 85 lbs. I have no cheerleading experience, but I stretch everyday at home & practice at home. I can’t take any classes because I don’t have time /:
Should I try out? If so, is there any advice for me to work on?? Also, what do the judges normally look for?
I know this is probably a dumb question, but do we try out alone? Thanks (:

Also, would I be a flyer? If I would be ( if I make tryouts…) how would I be able to improve my flexibility & balance?
